What is Restylane?
The Restylane line of filler products are formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance that attracts water but diminishes with age. When injected into the lips, Restylane’s HA fillers immediately add plumpness, softness and hydration to the lips.
Restylane Silk is FDA-approved specifically for the lips; another common use is to soften visible wrinkles around the mouth. With smaller particles than other Restylane fillers, Silk is perfect for areas like the lips that require perfect precision.
Kysse is another Restylane product indicated for lip treatment. Kysse is designed with XpresHAn Technology, a feature that allows the filler to plump the lips without restricting lip movement or expression.
What is Juvederm?
Like Restylane, the Juvederm family of products use HA to plump, define and hydrate lips. Juvederm Volbella XC and Ultra XC were developed specifically for the lips. The clear gels temporarily plump lips and/or smooth noticeable wrinkles and lines around the mouth.
